(Cool Gadgets Blog) Today we are launching a new Amazon Kindle section. The reason is because Amazon.com is forcing us to close down our Amazon Kindle News Website because it has the name “amazon” and “kindle” in it. The funny thing is that there are hundreds of sites with the name “amazon” and “kindle” in it. Some are pretty popular too and yet Amazon.com seems to be selective in who they send threatening emails to. We were one of those people given two weeks to close our Amazon Kindle News site (and Twitter account) or face repercussion from Amazon. So we are going to transfer the content from Amazon Kindle News to the Kindle section of our blog here. So over the next few days you’ll see some Kindle articles that may appear to be old. They are. The articles are simply making their trek from our Amazon Kindle News site to here.
We are no longer big fans of Amazon.com because of the way they are treating us (and others, for that matter). As a result we will not be going out of our way to promote their products, even though we’ll still cover them from an editorial standpoint. We are more likely now to promote products like Apple’s iPad and the Nook. From a customer standpoint, I’m now more likely to use Amazon.com as much as I do now (which is a lot). I welcome recommendations in the Comments section below as to a good alternative to Amazon.com.
